Commissioner considers the Plan as adequate but she is disappointed
that the Plan reflects only a small step forward in improving complaints
handling, particularly when over a third
of consumers continue to be dissatisfied with the level of
service provided by the Law Society. However, for this year she has
had to take into consideration the Law Society's current poor performance
and what it can realistically achieve.
There are around 110,000 Solicitors' that are Members of the Law Society, if each one carries out, say on average, one case per month, twelve per year, then there would be over 1.3 million cases per year. Zahida Manzoor the Complaints Commissioner states "over a third of consumers continue to be dissatisfied" then that relates to around 440,000 'disillusioned' solicitor clients every year!
Go on somebody tell me my 'maths' are wrong for we all know that any firm(s) with that many complaints just could not survive, although in this case we are talking 'British Law Society Members' who work 'Hand in Glove' with their own 'Complaints Procedures' with ZM the Complaints Commissioner in close support. Not only that but the 'Law Society Ethics Committee' along with 'SIF' (Solicitors Indemity Fund) will advise solicitors to 'Sack' their clients' if they dare complain. Click Here and Here
My statement above of 440,000 'dissatisfied' solicitors' clients every year is wrong! It would appear from Solicitor Richard Miller (Dissolved) that this is by far an underestimation. Richard Miller states that there are 30,000,000 transactions carried out by solicitors every year so taking the LSO's word that "over a third of consumers continue to be dissatisfied" that means there are 10,000,000 'transactions' not carried out satisfactorily so, being conservative, let us say there are 5 million 'dissatisfied consumers per year'. Remember these are facts straight from the 'Stable Manager's' and one of the 'Horses Mouths' also Which? is of the opinion that the 'dissatisfied consumers per year' rate is 40% which is equals to 12,000,000 unsatisfactory 'transactions'.

ZM talks about "transparency" (I wonder what that means?) if you click Here you will see a letter I wrote to ZM, that she never gave any answers to, it will be seen ol' ZM put her head together with the CCS and Dickie the Chair in carrying out an investigation behind 'closed doors concerning my complaint against Dickie now that sounds like "transparency" to me. Yeah Right! The final part she states "ensuring that their (consumer) views and experience help shape any changes in the way services are delivered in the future". This woman lives in 'Cuckoo Land' since when has she listened to the "consumer".
